Ingredients

  • 2 apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji preferred)
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 small bowl of water (to prevent browning)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Peel and core the apples, then slice them horizontally into rings about ¼-inch thick. Place in water to prevent browning.
  • Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. Cut each triangle into strips about ½ inch wide.
  • Wrap each apple ring with a dough strip, overlapping slightly and pressing ends to seal.
  • Brush each wrapped ring with melted butter.
  • Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl, then sprinkle over the dough-wrapped rings.
  • Place rings on the baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving warm. Enjoy!

Notes

Best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce. You can swap cinnamon sugar for pumpkin pie spice for a seasonal twist. Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven for crispiness.
