  • 2 pieces ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup brown butter frosting optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the mashed bananas, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cooling and Serving

  • Let cool before frosting with brown butter frosting if desired.

Notes
