Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups bread cubes day old
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 0.75 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 0.5 cup raisins optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180C and grease a baking dish.
  • In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Add bread cubes and let soak for 10 minutes.
  • Stir in cinnamon, salt, butter, and raisins.
  • Pour mixture into baking dish and bake for 40 minutes until golden.
  • Prepare sauce separately and serve warm over pudding.

Notes

  • Use stale bread for best texture
  • Do not overbake
  • Serve warm with sauce
