Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt A pinch of salt can enhance flavor

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup milk Use room temperature for better mixing
  • 2 pieces eggs Room temperature preferred
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk the wet ingredients: melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Combine the wet mixture into the dry mixture slowly, stirring until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the greased baking pan and spread it evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cooling

  • Once done, let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For serving, dust with powdered sugar or serve with ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for 2-3 months.
