Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices soft white sandwich bread
  • 8 slices American cheese or cheddar any good melting cheese works
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder optional

Instructions
 

  • Flatten each bread slice with a rolling pin until thin and pliable.
  • Place one cheese slice on each bread slice, leaving a small border at one edge.
  • Roll each slice tightly and press gently to seal the seam.
  • Mix softened butter with garlic powder and brush over each roll up on all sides.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place roll ups seam-side down and cook 2 to 3 minutes per side, turning until all sides are golden and crispy.
  • Serve immediately while cheese is melted and warm.

Notes

  • Always start seam-side down in the pan to seal the roll.
  • Keep heat at medium to avoid burning before cheese melts.
  • For air fryer: cook at 375°F for 6 to 8 minutes, turning once.
  • Best eaten fresh - reheat in air fryer or skillet to restore crispiness.
