Ingredients
  

Dough ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs

Filling ingredients

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened for filling

Icing ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar for icing
  • 2 tbsp milk for icing

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and a tablespoon of sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Add melted butter, remaining sugar, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.

Filling and Shaping

  • Roll the dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over the surface.
  • Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Roll up the dough tightly and cut into 12 equal rolls. Place in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 20 minutes.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Icing

  • Mix powdered sugar and milk for icing. Drizzle it over the warm rolls.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or up to a week in the refrigerator. Freeze for up to 2 months.
