Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground turkey, lean or extra-lean
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil, canola or avocado

Instructions
 

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high. Add the neutral oil.
  • Add ground turkey, break it up, cook until browned, about 6-7 minutes.
  • Lower heat to medium, stir in minced garlic, cook 1 minute.
  • Whisk honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
  • Pour sauce over turkey, stir, simmer 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  • Mix in most green onions, remove from heat.
  • Serve over rice or lettuce wraps.

Notes

  • Brown turkey well for flavor.
  • Use fresh garlic.
  • Adjust heat to taste.
  • Reheat with water splash.
