- 4 cups water
- 5 green tea bags
- 2 tablespoons fresh ginger finely grated
- 2 cups fresh orange juice
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 3 to 4 tablespoons honey or to taste
- 2 cups ice cubes
- to serve orange slices
- to serve mint leaves
Heat the water in a saucepan until it reaches a gentle simmer.
Turn off the heat, add the green tea bags, and steep for 3 minutes.
Stir in the grated ginger and let it sit for 2 more minutes.
Remove the tea bags and strain the tea into a pitcher if needed.
Mix in the honey while the tea is still warm so it dissolves easily.
Let the tea cool, then stir in the orange juice and lemon juice.
Chill well, pour over ice, and finish with orange slices and mint.
- Use freshly squeezed orange juice for the best flavor.
- Keep the steeping time short to avoid bitterness.
- Chill fully before serving for a cleaner, brighter taste.
